Update From A Mad Runner

*Muffin Tops...

So last week was bad. I didn't elaborate in last weeks post, but I can officially confirm that the saying about working out for three weeks can be lost in three days. From last weeks visitors I didn't do two days of running and it kicked me where the sun don't shine this week. Because I ate about half my body weight in food and drank more wine in three days then I did the last three months I gave myself the luxury of redoing last week's schedule of workout. I mean come on, bumping up to 4 miles after I about died on the 3.5 mile and that was over a week ago!
Monday started out OK, of course when its just stretching and weights I can manage that, but my 2.5 mile run I was supposed to do Tuesday ended up being only a 2 mile run and me with spaghetti rubbery legs. Terrible. Seriously terrible. But I am happy to report with the help of Big Rich Texas and their arguing and the cupcake decorating I made it through 2.5 miles and walked .25 cool down. I even did weights and abs, oh hell yeah!
Saturday we did our morning workout and then spent the day doing errands. We finalized out adoption for Asia (yay!) got our coffee and then we (Finally!) went down to check out City Creek Mall. B was there last weekend with his mom but I am a City Creek virgin no more! There are amazing views in all directions really showing how beautiful Salt Lake really is. Finally something that will hopefully be a tourist attraction.

The rest of the week was normal as usual. Wednesday I was able to exercise my arms and sweet tooth with vegging out and eating ice cream with B (not B just me). We had our weekly date night and finished the American Pie movie series/ With the new American Reunion coming out this weekend we wanted to watch the originals. We forgot how great those movies are and B and I realized it's because we grew up with these people! We were in high school when they were, college with them and now marriage.  Saturday we went to the new Reunion showing and loved it! I would recommend it!

Oh and by the way...Happy Easter! We just had an amazing meal with some great friends.
A real Feaster Easter

in our sunday best to get coffee

peep kabobs

we even got easter treats! just like at home, what an amazing day

*when running this week i was watching Big Rich Texas and a girl worked at a cupcake shop, the other girls were making fun of her and her "muffin top" it was a little bit of motivation for me this week

Perrrrfect Day Outfit

The other weekend, before it was nice out, B and I had a nice lazy day. We hit up a couple of movies, shopping and just hung out. I wanted to be comfortable but not be in my sweats (like the usual movie ensemble) and just wanted wear something nice and fun!
This is what I came up with.

like i said in my other post, i love being comfortable and usually work an outfit around that. i wore the fur for some warmth while outside, since we were just going to a movie and in and out of stores! fun.

"boots and the fur!" hehe

fun avs and gold hoops.

Update From a Mad Runner

This week was a lot of laziness. I have to be honest. I didn't want to do a whole lot and to actually be honest I fell like if I snowboard on the weekends it should be enough for me to not have to do cardio for the rest of the week. Alas I wish it were that easy.
Now I do have to say I did run both Saturday and Sunday. It was so cold out Saturday! B and I didn't go snowboarding as we knew it would be so busy and plus it was freezing out! We then laid low and went to a few movies we wanted to see. Sunday B went snowboarding and I decided to stay home. Even though I knew that it was going to be great snow I had a lot of things on my mind, all my projects I need to finish!! So I was able to run and pick up the rest of the supplies I needed, new shoes and some more protein. Yeah, I sneaked in some shoes. Since it was a beautiful day out today I thought about running outside, BUT I didn't, I think people who run outside are suckers, sorry, but you can judge me because I run on the treadmill. I did run though and ended up back in the clubhouse and enjoyed SATC marathon (seriously I've seen every episode through about 4 times in the last year and a half AND I watch them whenever they are on TV, but they still make me laugh so hard!)

On a side note I have to thank my friend for motivating me to try a new workout class called Ballet Blast. It was a combination of ballet warm up moves, a lot of hip flexor strengthening, some core, muscle, more core and stretching. It was like most of the classes I have taken at 24 Hour Fitness a small combo of SET and Yoga. Although I can not say I would do the class again or not it has me thinking if I want to rejoin 24 Hour Fitness. I really miss doing the workout classes, mostly yoga as I can not get into doing yoga at home alone. Taking that class also made me realize I would really push myself more in the group setting rather than the in my living room watching RHOA among others. But I still don't know if I want to commit to the gym again!

On another side note, B went to the Jazz game with a friend on Friday night and big win for the JAZZ vs HEAT! GO JAZZ

Slogans

My last slogan for Sunday's was "No Shower Sunday Funday". But as we all know I am now no longer a "fun" person. So I have deemed my new slogan "Bad Movie Sunday". I sure did a number yesterday and we ended the day with "Piranha" !

Movies, Movies, Movies

I absolutely love watching movies and so does Ben. It's something that we like to do together because we both know that well will go with each other, good or bad.
Since it was snowing all day on Saturday, Ben and I didn't leave our couch!
Once SATC movie came out, I had to watch it even though I have never watched the seasons. Once I watched the movie I watched all the seasons 1-6 in about a month. It was all I wanted to do! In one of the episodes when Big is getting married to the model, Carrie makes a reference to "The Way We Were" with Barbara Streisand and Robert Redford. Ever since, I have been dying to watch it. So I finally did this weekend. It was not what I thought, but good non the less. I would definitely recommend it, who doesn't love those oldies!!
We then decided to watch another one, after a nap of course! I like to let Ben chose 3 movies he wants to see and then I pick the one we watch. We ended up watching "Bad BoysII". It's such a funny movie and a little action. Will Smith and Martin Lawerance are so good together. Once that was over, I decided that we need to watch the original "Bad Boys". We barely made it through it, but it was a great movie day!
