High Five Friday

Friday is literally my favorite day of the week. It's the only day I don't workout...and I love it!
Here are my 5 fav things from this week!

1. ABDC started this week! I am obsessed with this show and the dancers! (I secretly wish I could dance like them)

2. Date night! We do our weekly date night and it's so much fun.

3. My best Target find yet.

4. Getting caught up at work. Sounds so lame, but feels so good!

5. Starting to cook more. I love trying new (and old) recipes. I know B does too!

You should check out Lauren's blog From My Grey Desk and link up with her as well!

Kale Chips

I have been seeing people making kale chips and finally did it myself! It's super easy and a good snack to munch on while watching "The Bachelor".

What you need:
a bunch of kale
Olive Oil
salt, Parmesan cheese, or whatever you would want to use to flavor them up!

Preheat oven to 375
wash kale and rip into bit size bites
spread on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or freezer paper
drizzle lightly with olive oil
sprinkle with salt and parmesan

Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are brown.

Enjoy!!!

Home Cookin Goodness

Since I have been working on my kitchen skills I thought I would share a great family recipe (and B's new favorite meal;) with everyone:

Homemade Pizza

Bread Dough (there are frozen loafs or you can get frozen biscuit dough too)
1 can of cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup (the celery soup is a little sweeter)
1 can of tomato soup
1 package of taco seasoning
1 pound of ground meat/ground turkey
cheese
any additional toppings

.raise bread dough (cover it in butter, cover and let raise. will work if you set it out in the a.m.)
.brown meat
.mix together soups for sauce
.spread out dough cover in sauce, sprinkle taco seasoning over. put meat on top with cheese and additional toppings.
.bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

*my mom has been making this for years, a traditional family dinner with a little homemade twist, which will stay with us forever. Thanks Mom!!
** you can use a homemade crust recipe as well, I've done it once and it turned out great! A little thicker crust.
***I made this last week and used chicken and skipped the taco sauce and used pepper jack cheese for flavoring. turned out great!
